I've been working on this certain project for years now. At present i'll call it "Oblivion Gate" which isn't the official release name. I was stagnant with it for a while, but I finally have the skeleton of the story down and i'm very excited about it now that it has a solid direction. I will possibly/likely publish it before any of my full-length fiction novels. It is a surreal novella of vignettes.

I’ve been doing so much meticulous line-editing on my novels second draft that its taken me like 2 hours to edit 2 pages…..

How i’ve been organizing my college notes;
✧ Printing out a table of contents of the highlights/definitions/sections of each weeks lessons
✧ Made index notes of important class & student info, and a color coded key for my highlights
✧ Aesthetic tabs per each class lesson

Writing ideas in my novel notebook~

Never give up on your work, because you are one of those rare people that are brave enough to be different. Your work will inevitably make an impact once it gets in the hands of the right people, but for that to happen, you cant give up. Fight for your creations, fight for your characters to see the light of day, and tell their stories because they deserve to be told. You have the opportunity to change the lives of your readers, but only if you do everything you can to get your work in front of people. Search every nook and cranny for your niche group. Your perfect audience is out there, craving work that is just like yours, but struggling to find it. Make it easy for them. Employ SEO, post blog posts, market on every platform, network with other creatives, collaborate, advertise in local settings, pay for advertising, commune with fellow lovers of your most influential authors, support others, and tell everybody about your work. But most of all, don’t stop creating, and don’t stop trying. Nothing will become of your opus magnums if you don’t devote yourself to them.

I think with my most recently finished fiction novel you have to be a lover of classics to truly understand/appreciate it, given how anachronistic the prose and dialogue is. The characters all seem straight out of another century, yet exist in the modern day. I almost strictly read 20th century and 19th century fiction, and that is veryyy prevalent within my prose.
I save every kind comment that I get on substack and from those who support my writing, in my journal— so if you ever wonder if your comments impact people, just know that they do.

Was feeling no connection with one of the main characters in my current WIP.. so I completely reworked her. Completely different vibe, and now she has more personality. Yes, her aesthetic inspiration is manic pixie dream girl.

Finally getting around to new edits of my highly experimental and colorful novella from 2019, “The House of Wonders” which was inspired by the “Tibetan Book of the Dead” and a friend I know who died a tragic death, along with my own psychonaut experiences.

Today I got a kindle e-reader. Single-handedly the best purchase i’ve made in a long time. If you’re considering getting one, do it! Its easy to replace this screen addiction with an e-book one instead 🤣

Finally began crafting this junk journal ♡ its very interactive, you can take out all the little ephemera and write on it ~ any cool ideas on what I could use this specific journal for?

Today I came up with the idea for a new notebook to add to my journaling ecosystem. an “everyday journal” which contains affirmations, daily habits, and inspiring/motivating quotes for me to study every morning that I wake up- instead of having to divide my mind between all of my scattered notes. Its the perfect purpose for these tiny & cute pocket notebooks i bought and thought were too precious to pollute for the longest time.

My favorite thing that I’ve created recently is this digital garden, a directory of all the subjects I’m interested in and my research on them. It is very newborn, but I plan on hoarding a bunch of knowledge there. I wanted it to have a kitsch pastel vibe.
